HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008
So, here we are at the beginning of yet another year of literary and sonic precipitation for Rainfall Records & Books. Steve and John would like to wish you all a fantastic 2088.
Once again we have a lot planned for you over the coming twelve months. We've started the year with a clutch of new chapbooks - Strange Sorcery #6, Sirens & Supervixens and Thrilling Tales #3, plus late publications from December, such as Plunder the Tomes #1, Startling Space Stories #1, Beast & Blasphemies and Cults & Concubines.Last year saw the publication of Cthulhu’s Creatures, a one-off publishing venture in conjunction with Jeff Hill. But this is only the first of several Mythos anthologies to be published by Rainfall. The second, Innsmouth Tales, will appear in the spring followed by Cthulhu Calling later in the year. Look out for Beneath the Moons of Zandor an anthology of sword & sorcery/weird fantasy tales set on the planet of Zandor. Inspired by the writings of Smith, Burroughs, Howard, Carter, and Lovecraft it will be the first in a series of anthologies by some of today’s finest exponents of weird fantasy and all stories will be set on the planet Zandor.We'll also be continuing our successful line of chapbooks and we have a literary feast lined up for you in 2008 including further issues of Lovecraft's Disciples, The Yellow Sign, Beyond The Borderland, E'ch Pi El, Strange Sorcery, Thrilling Tales and Weird Worlds as well such titles as: All Things Dark & Hideous, The R’lyeh Revelations, Mind Lords of Lemuria, Charnel Wine and many moreWe'll also be publishing single author chapbooks by the cream of today’s writers, including, Ran Cartwright, Simon Whitechapel, Haydon Atwood Prescott, Robert M. Price, Richard Gavin, Mark McLaughlin and Michael McCarty and others.Planned CDs include two by The Doctor’s Pond titled Bayou Boys and The Ungrateful Dead. Steve has also finally gotten around to converting his vast Stormclouds archive onto CDr. These will appear in limited editions of 10 per album and there will be 30 CDs in total which will include all the original Stormclouds cassette albums, plus remixes, outtakes, rare tracks and live recordings.
