In October he tries to form a 'glam rock' band called THE MYSTERY GIRLS with Mark Angell (MAXIMUM ATTACK), Nigel Easton (THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE) and Dave Seal (STICKY WICKET). The band falls apart leaving Steve and Dave. They continue to write songs and link up again with Steve Case and Jeff Grundy.
THE CREEPY CRAWLIES: November 1982 to December 1982
This line up has a couple of rehearsals before falling apart. Dave Seal joins and Nick Barnes leaves to move to Bristol. This leaves the three original members of THE UNINVITED but they don't rehearse due to transport problems and call it a day.

STEVE LINES also writes with Mark Angell during the first half of 1983 with plans to form a band called ROOM 101. In March they decide on a name change to THE VICTIMS OF CIRCUMSTANCE.
Various line-ups rehearse featuring Colin Fielding (guitar), Peter Heginbotham (Bass), Mike Russell (drums), Steve Lines (guitar) and Mark Angell (Vocals). Mark Angell sacks Steve because he shouts at band members!
April: Colin Fielding quits. Angell re-instates Steve on bass after Peter Heginbotham looses interest. Leroy Lugg and Bod join but never make it to a rehearsal.
In May Leroy Lugg leaves and Lines, Angell and Bod start rehearsing on a regular basis. Nick Barnes is tried out unsuccessfully as a keyboard player.
THE VICTIMS: May 1983 to June 1983
THE VICTIMS OF CIRCUMSTANCE shorten their name with the departure of Fielding, Heginbotham and Russell. They manage to play one gig before splitting.
